50 Dragons Slots Review + Bonus Offers
50 Dragons is one of Aristocrat’s games, a slot machine that you can play either at online or land-based casinos, since versions for it are available at both. It’s very similar to another game of theirs, 50 Lions, so either go for that one or this, if you enjoy them.
The game area is fairly large, 5×4 reels hosting 1 to 50 lines here. With all lines active, you’re going to spend anywhere from $0.50 to $5 per spin, so it’s fairly cheap to play. With a top prize of 1,000x the stake ($5,000), and with medium-high volatility, the game doesn’t leave a great impression. It doesn’t help that the RTP is at a low 94.71%. On the other hand, the presence of wilds, scatters or free spins might help a bit.
Moving on to the game’s theme, expect a Chinese-inspired title, which offers the usual average-looking graphics that Aristocrat seems to be importing from the land-based market. The choice of symbols is a normal one, with mostly golden versions for dragons, roosters, tigers, fish, dragon pearls or ingots, along with basic Royals.

Bonus Features Deconstructed
First of all, you get a Dragon Pearl on four of the five reels, the only one where it’s missing being the first one. It’s an important symbol, since it has the ability to act as a substitute, and as common as it may be in slot machines, I always like having it around. It doesn’t pay directly, it’s not really possible since it doesn’t show up on all the reels, but even so, it should help out and form new combinations together with regular symbols on a regular basis. It will not be a replacement for a scatter symbol, but other than that it will work with all the regular ones.
Next, there is the Ingot to consider, a scatter symbol that’s going to appear left to right on the first three reels. While a small prize will be paid then, just 4x the stake, the real target is going to be the free spins feature.
10 free spins will trigger as a result of the three Ingots being present on the reels. During each round, one additional wild is added to the last four reels, at random. An extra 5 rounds can be obtained, if the feature is retriggered.
With the exception of those extra wilds that get added during the free spins, most of the features that 50 Dragons offers are fairly basic and they don’t manage to turn this slot into anything interesting.

50 Dragons might be an OK game to play if you love the land-based version already, and you want the comfort of spinning those 5 reels at home as well, but for those that are used with online slots, it’s a below average offer. Average top payouts, below average RTP, boring features and graphics that will kill the mood, these are all downsides for 50 Dragons, and I couldn’t find much to add to the list of pros.
