La Western Canada Lottery Corporation a annoncé un autre gain important à un appareil de loterie vidéo dans la province de Saskatchewan. Cette fois, un homme de Weyburn a activé un jackpot d'une valeur de plus de CA$800 000 en jouant sur un appareil de loterie vidéo Vault Breaker. Le gain a eu lieu le mois dernier au Detour Bar & Grill de Weyburn.
Vault Breaker is a popular VLT product which comes with a progressive jackpot that increases by a small margin for every play on a progressive-enabled game. There is also a ‘Minor’ jackpot of a minimum of CA$100, a ‘Major’ with a minimum value of CA$5,000 and a ‘Grand’ with a base value of CA$500,000.
Taking Home a Sizeable Windfall
In one of its latest statements, WCLC shed more light on the recent VLT win. The name of the winner is Dale Schmidt who won a jackpot in the amount of CA$801,657.74 from a VLT at Weyburn’s Detour Bar & Grill. He recently appeared at the WCLC reward centre where he was handed the cheque. His winning is dated to September 29, 2023.
Mr. Schmidt also shared a few words on his windfall. He is now hopeful to share a portion of the jackpot with his children and is looking to pay off his current mortgage he and his wife have. He also noted that he and his wife always wanted to be mortgage-free and the CA$800k in prizemoney will probably help them live more stress-free in the future.
As already stated, Vault Breaker is a province-wide progressive mechanic that links approximately 4,200 VLT machines in around 270 communities across the Province of Saskatchewan. According to data provided by the Crown Corporation, since June 2017, the provincial jackpot has awarded more than CA$34 million to 36 different winners. The prize is now reset to CA$500,000.
Past Winners
In August 2023, WCLC reported another massive winning register through Vault Breaker. That time it belonged to Darrell Kreklewich from Shell Lake who won CA$1,080,618.14. He triggered the winning by playing on a VLT machine at the Shell Lake Hotel on July 28, 2023. As a gesture, he bought everyone in the bar some drinks and even pizza.
However, that is not all as in September 2023, the Crown agency revealed Chris Overholt as another winner from a Vault Breaker game. The Regina man took home a hefty jackpot worth CA$1,101,590.82. His winning dates to September 8, 2023, and happened at the Open Tap Brewing Company and Eatery in Regina while spending time with his father.
