Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino Launches In-Person Sports Wagering

Seneca Nation of Indians greenlighted sports wagering operation in its second casino location in Salamanca, once again bringing people closer to the premium sports betting up for grabs. The special in-person sports betting lounge saw its ribbon-cutting ceremony this week. Rickey Armstrong Sr., President of the tribal nation cut the ribbon and place the first bet on the premises of Seneca Allegany Sports Lounge.

In-person sports wagering is legal within the state of New York and tribal casino developers have also joined their commercial rivals in this budding field. Seneca Nation of Indians is among the tribal casino operators joining the wave of sports wagering only recently, but working quickly, in order to make up for lost time. The tribal nation announced its second venue launches legal sports wagering.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino in Salamanca is the second out of three tribal locations that would see legal sports betting on single events. The lucrative offering has proven its capacity to attract larger crowds and make them stay around for longer periods of time. Now Salamanca residents and people of the neighboring communities will have the opportunity to bet on live events.

This official launch comes only days after Seneca Nation of Indians greenlighted its first sports wagering lounge in Buffalo Creek Casino in Buffalo. Locals and people hailing from neighboring communities will have the opportunity to enjoy live events featuring their favorite teams to the likes of the Buffalo Bills, Sabres, and Bandits, as Mr. Armstrong himself confirmed. Various sports events would also be broadcasted on the premium flat screen placed in the Sports Lounge.

Sports betting enthusiasts will have the chance to experience the new in-person offering for the very first time since the US Supreme Court scrapped PASPA and allowed states to work on their own set of rules guarding wagering on sports events. When it comes to Western New York, the three tribal locations are projected to become the go-to wagering venues.

Third Casino Opens Lounge Soon

For the time being, the offering is an in-person one solely. However, it also has the capacity to launch a mobile app facilitating online betting once that is legalized. Seneca Nation of Indians collaborates with Pegula Sports and Entertainment for this riveting offering that would be available at the special sports wagering lounges available on site.

It should be taken into account that sports wagering would take place around the clock, in order to accommodate all players ready to give it a try. Next year the conversation on mobile sports wagering would commence anew once the gambling study on a state level issues its information. The new timeline would result in a six-month review, two months longer than the original idea for a field study.

The findings of this study are projected to be issued by June 1, 2020, possibly reshaping the field. The third tribal casino resort to welcome sports wagering would be Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls. Projections are that it would also launch the in-person offering over the following weeks ahead of the end of 2019.
