Legacy of Egypt is obviously a game dedicated to Ancient Egypt, which features the same characters as every other slot machine in this category.

It’s very well designed, just not terribly original, as far as theme is concerned.

Around since the late 90s, as a subsidiary of another company initially, Play n Go certainly has enough experience in this industry, and they show it with their 190+ casino games, out of which over 150 are slot machines right now.

They offer both modern and classic slot machines, typically with the RTP at 96% or higher, though they do give casinos the option to choose a setting that’s lower, so watch out for that.

Quite a few high volatility options are included in their collection, and payouts can be quite high, so that’s one more thing to put like a pro next to their name.

How To Play It

You can wager as little as $0.30 on a single spin, and you will find that the reels start spinning. It will be enough to cover the game’s 30 lines with bets of $0.01 in each case.

However, if you want to take it up a notch, you have that option as well, with the maximum bet reaching $90, where line bets get up to $3.

Legacy of Egypt is a slot with 5×3 reels, which offers 30 active lines. Mostly, you get the same theme, features and type of action as in every other slot machine, so I don’t consider it a particularly interesting or unique game.

Special Features

Easiest to figure out, the wild Scarab will be the one forming the game’s best-paying combinations, offering up to 500 coins ($1,500) on its own. Usually, though, it’s the one that you get to use as a substitute, and it will help out with the formation of smaller wins.

Via the Pyramid scatters, you obtain a prize from the game, and you also trigger free spins. You go through a stage called Wheel of the Gods, where a spin of a special wheel of fortune will reveal the number of free spins (up to 20), along with the multiplier which applies to all wins inside.

During free spins, the Scattered Pyramids are going to pay as wilds do. Get 2 Wild Scatters, to trigger Pyramid Spins, up to 8 being possible via the Wheel of the Gods. The same multiplier applies to them.

The Wheel of the Gods will have double values, if it’s triggered by 3+ Wild Scatters.

Maximum Payouts

With the game’s paytable promising top payouts of up to 5,000x, you can just tell that this is going to be a high volatility option, one of many coming from Play n Go. Given the wagers which are possible, as much as $450,000 can be paid by the game.

However, it’s only during the free spins, that you get a chance at that high of a payout since multipliers apply there. Regular paid spins will offer at most $45,000, with 30 active lines all occupied by wilds.

Summary

It’s very well designed, it has a couple of features which are a bit more complex than in the usual slot machine, and payout or RTP wise it’s doing pretty good also. Overall, not a bad pick, if you’re not tired of the Ancient Egypt genre yet.
